Pre-Engineering Academy completer graduates
from West Point
Cadet
Colin S. Jones, a 2004 Stow-Munroe Falls graduate and Manufacturing
and Pre-Engineering Academy completer, graduated in May
from the U. S. Military Academy at West Point. While at
West Point, Jones studied environmental engineering and
was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army
within the Infantry branch. He is currently stationed in
Germany on his first assignment.
Last
spring, Jones visited the Manufacturing and Pre-Engineering
Academy program at Roosevelt to speak to Academy students
about engineering and the importance of Pre-
Engineering high school programs. He spoke highly of his
experience in the Academy.
“Colin
was a serious and dedicated student, always prepared for
class and tests,” says Academy instructor Tony Barbuto.
“Of all the students I’ve had in physics over
the years, he ranks up there with the best. He was a no-nonsense,
get-it-done sort of guy.”
