New College Tech Prep Initiatives
This NEW College Tech Prep initiative, located at Cuyahoga Falls High School, will offer students opportunities to gain knowledge of the American Criminal Justice System and Police Work and Practice in Public Safety. Areas of concentration available for Level II will include Computer Digital Forensics or Emergency Management and Homeland Security. College credits available.
Computer-Aided Design and Engineering Technologies (CADET)
In this NEW College Tech Prep initiative, students will use the latest industry standard software and equipment to produce working drawings, 3D solid model designs, parts and assemblies. Located at Roosevelt High School, students will also have the opportunity to program and operate CNC machines (router, lathe, mill) to produce manufactured products using wood, metal, and plastic. Students will also operate rapid prototype machines (3D printer) and laser engraver in fabricating various engineered and designed products. College credits available.
Programming and Software Development
This NEW College Tech Prep initiative is located at Stow-Munroe Falls High School. Learners apply principles of computer programming and software development to develop code; build, test, and debug programs; create finished products; and plan, analyze, design, develop, implement, and support software applications. Areas will prepare students for careers using technical and academic skills to design, develop, test, document, implement and maintain computer software. College credits available.
