Forestry/Landscape
Horticulture Completer
Now Working with Large Tree Service
Adrianne
Korora says her decision to enroll in Urban Forestry/Landscape
Horticulture “did great things for me and was a good
stepping stone into college.”
The 2004 completer from Cuyahoga Falls
graduated from Kent State University in 2009. She has a
bachelor’s degree in biology with a conservation track
and geology minor. Korora is also a certified arborist and
passed the challenging 7-part exam on her first try.
In March, Korora began working for Asplundh Tree Expert
Co. as a Head Work Planner. Asplundh is a full-service utility
contractor providing line clearance services to First Energy
and ODOT in Northeast Ohio.
“I’ve learned new things, seen new places and
met a lot of new people,” she says. “I’m
proud of myself for doing this. I’m a capable and
reliable person, and now I’m training others.”
“Since
I was in middle school, I wanted to study botany,”
Korora explains. “I had many of my high school credits
finished, so I thought Urban Forestry was a way to learn
about trees and plants.”
