Foundations
This
course is divided into four 9-week units with a different
teacher for each unit. Units include technology,
accounting, marketing and business law. In technology,
students will be introduced to word processing, spreadsheets,
database, desktop publishing and PowerPoint. In
accounting, students will learn the basic steps in the
accounting cycle, including journalizing, posting and
financial statements. In marketing, students will
learn the differences between merchandising and service
businesses, about retail sales, advertising and distribution.
In business law, students will study criminal law, contracts,
consumer and juvenile law.
